Matt Brown is an old soul, and that is evident in the music he creates. With a voice seasoned by influences such as Ray Charles and Bill Withers and guitar styling steeped in the tradition of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brown’s artistry is filled with as much blue-eyed soul as his baby blue Fender Telecaster, “Stella Blue.” His latest EP, Get it Right, was produced by Scott Underwood at Thunderwood Sound and is now available on iTunes, Spotify, and many other popular music sites. The debut album, Featherborn, features producer Scott Underwood (Train) who performs double-duty by lending his amazing talent on drums. His former bandmate in Train, Charles Colin, co-wrote & arranged the album along with providing guitar, bass & unforgettable vocal harmonies.
FEATHERBORN collaborated with other industry titans to complete Danny Beissel’s musical vision including esteemed engineer John McBride, Grammy award-winning mixer Vance Powell (Jack White and Chris Stapleton), incomparable steel-pedal aficionado Jeffrey “Skunk” Baxter (The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan), and renowned lead guitarist Brian Quinn (Candlebox).
Their first video “Blush” was released in August and features wonderful shots all around that classic American city Philadelphia.
With soulful vocal riffs reminiscent of walking the streets of Memphis, Olivia Romano emotes hope and heartbreak delivering every line with a subdued and mature acceptance of her journey through life. Olivia recites refreshingly unapologetic stories of love and heartbreak with an inviting gentleness and mastery of falsetto. "My happiness comes from the songs I sing and the lyrics I write, the melodies, the rush of excitement you get from a crowd,” Olivia says. “It’s just something about music that empowers me and makes me whole.”
